Many visiting Chieti will also take some time out to visit Lanciano, a small town rich in Renaissance history with particularly well-preserved historical quarters in the Abruzzo region, easily accessible by train. The town is famous for being the site of the first alleged Catholic Eucharistic Miracle to be recorded.
